I'd like to present to you the storm of Aug 30th. Here we see a completely unedited photo taken by yours truly not five minutes ago (middle of the night). A light amidst the darkness.
Just for the sake of contrast, here is also a failed attempt at a cool shot. A 20 second exposure of the same scene without the wrath of Zeus.
Just a note for the camera crew - The overcast tonight reflects the light form the city more than the last lightning photo. That one way better because almost all of the light on the sensor came at one moment, but even the lightning-less photo is quite light. I think this also explains why the lightning seems so bright right now; it reflects off the rest of the clouds making a flash of light from everywhere rather than seeing a well defined bolt (enter pose here).
I don't believe this for a second. You just took one picture during the day, then another one at night. Don't try to fool me!
